BAR SOAP! No they won’t wash in chemicals
STARTER HOMES! The renters can’t afford to own
TGI FRIDAYS! Aw, they don’t eat at chains
And don’t even get me started on what they’ve done to mayonnaise!
They’re coming by the swarm
To take your world by storm
Consider yourself warned
THEY’LL WIN
They’re voting in your polls
You’re losing all control
To the millennials
DINNER DATES! It’s all netflix and chill these days
HANDSHAKES! Try texting to communicate
PLASTIC STRAWS! Oh they love the environment
And never shut their goddamn mouths - they won’t let you forget about it!
Mass consuming social media fodder
The resounding shame of our forefathers
Will you even claim your sons and daughters?
You heard me right - you birthed and raised the monsters!
They’re coming by the swarm
To take your world by storm
Consider yourself warned
THEY’LL WIN
They’re voting in your polls
You’re losing all control
To the millenials
Oh No!

Midlife Catharsis

I spent too long trying to play by all the rules
and felt the energy drain from my molecules
It’s like eroding on a schedule 9 - 5
But all I needed was a new progression to make me feel alive
Fuck acting my age, tonight I wanna rage
I’m back for more
I’m like an addict with an itch, antipsychotics in a pinch,
and only this can be my fix - I’ve tried it all before
This is my bliss
I need a hook, give me some kicks
To fight my way out of the pits
And you know I could never be too old for this
She’s got a mortgage, hers and five more mouths to feed
But she still needs the time to dance to her own beat
He’s got a new gig and his salary is shit
Credit card’s left in shards at the bar, calls for imperative catharsis
Fuck acting our age, tonight we’re gonna rage
We’re back for more
We’re like an addict with an itch, antipsychotics in a pinch,
And only this can be our fix - we’ve tried it all before
This is our bliss
We got a hook we brought our kicks
We fought our way out of the pits
And you know we could never be too old….
I let my responsibilities, swoop in and get the best of me
I’m still wiped out from the struggle, I’m still learning how to juggle
I’ve become my own Sisyphus, I keep trying to push myself back up
A sound investment? Who’s to say? When She’s so heavy.
And I’m never letting it go again
Fuck acting our age, tonight we’re gonna rage
We’re back for more
We’re like an addict with an itch, antipsychotics in a pinch,
And only this can be our fix - we’ve tried it all before
This is our bliss
We got a hook we brought our kicks
We fought our way out of the pits
And you know we could never be too old….

The Conquest Of Bread

Pythagoras, show me your secret - what is it you’ve got?
Work your numbers, fit the pieces, did you find your god?
Hey, I heard there’s a formula - plug it in, and beam me up, Scotty!
Pietro, when did they turn on you? Had you gathered up all
Of your tones before you saw wolf’s interval?
Hey, I’d say we had a good run. We’re empty handed, but it was fun!
so play your secret chord and send me up to meet my lord
Because you’ll never find a golden year in this, our iron age
If it’s not for profit, don’t waste my time - I am just here to get my dime
You think your eye’s fixed on the prize, but you’ll never find one here.
Potential, ours is a sweet affair, but is it for naught
Will I reach what I could be, will I be forgot?
Hey, Sisyphus I’ll boost you up, on my shoulders, take a look!
Can you see the top? Has anybody seen the top?
Can anyone find a golden year on this, our iron stage
All of your players quit the game, went out to make themselves a name
Thinking there’s happiness in fame, but they’ll never find it
All this time spent, I’ve been searching, and missed what’s right in front of me
Nihilistic optimism came and set me free
Got me thinking None of this Matters
So I’ll keep dancing Gotta have music.
Push Reset and start again and let it be
Because we’ll never find a golden year running an iron race
Forget all the rules that you’ve been told, all of the promises they sold
Let go and let your life unfold or you’ll never find one here

Reach Out

I know that smile, I can see you’re in pain
You have grown nostalgic for the good old days
When wrong and right were black and white
But now you find you’ve blurred the lines
And it’s all faded to gray
When you’re stuck in isolation and failed self medication
If it’s too much to carry alone, just say the word and I’ll come home
You’ve gotta REACH OUT and let me wrap my arms around you
REACH OUT you know I’ll have your back and I’ll be by your side - you’re never on your own.
I know that face, I can see you’re lost
You two steps back over paths you’d crossed
Now your up and down are turned around
You’re losing ground and you have found
That you underestimated the cost.
When you’re stuck in isolation and failed self medication
And it’s too much to carry alone, just say the word and I’ll come home
You’ve gotta REACH OUT and let me wrap my arms around you
REACH OUT you I’ll have your back and I’ll be by your side - you’re never on your own.
Not a day goes by that I don’t hate myself a little, for being so far away
And every time I say goodbye I linger just a little because I know it could be the last time I get to
I hope you can hear me across the distance. I hope you can forgive me for my absence
And know when it’s time to fight your war I’ll be there to remind you what you’re fighting for. come on and
REACH OUT and let me wrap my arms around you
REACH OUT you I’ll have your back and I’ll be by your side - you’re never on your own.

I oughta throw you in the river
I’d like to see if you can swim
I wanna watch you fend for yourself without the option of a buy-in
I oughta throw you in the river
Yeah, right off the Dearborn bridge
I don’t give a fuck what your name is and I don’t care that you’re rich
Whose yacht is that, that you came on?
Bet it’s a rental or your mama’s
Yeah you never worked an honest day in your life
And while you drink away your summer
We’ll be toiling under the sun
Paying off our student debt
I oughta throw you in the river
I’d like to see if you can swim
I wanna watch you fend for yourself without the option of a buy-in
I oughta throw you in the river
Yeah, right off the Dearborn bridge
I don’t give a fuck what your name is and I don’t care that you’re rich
Wish you could see your own face now
I don’t know why you’ve figured somehow
We had all come down just to be here to serve you
Well, let me save us both some time
You can spare us all from your bribes.
Put your wallet away, and get in line!
I oughta throw you in the river
I oughta see if you can swim
I’d like to watch you fend for yourself without the option of a buy-in
I oughta throw you in the river
Yeah, right off the Dearborn bridge
I don’t give a fuck what your name is and I don’t care that you’re rich
You’re No Better Than Us, We All Got Red Blood.
You’re No Better Than Us, We All Got Red Blood.
You’re No Better Than Us, We All Got Red Blood.
You’re No Better Than Us, We All Got Red Blood.
I oughta throw you in the river
I’d like to see if you can swim
I wanna watch you fend for yourself without the option of a buy-in
I oughta throw you in the river
Yeah, right off the Dearborn bridge
I don’t give a fuck what your name is and I don’t care that you’re rich
I oughta throw you in the river
I’d like to see if you can swim
I wanna watch you fend for yourself without the option of a buy-in
I oughta throw you in the river
Yeah, right off the Dearborn bridge
I don't give a fuck who you think you are, you are just a little BITCH!
